A vivacious firecracker hailing from the dust-ridden streets of Edmonton, Holly Von Sinn (they/them) is guaranteed to tickle more than just your fancy. As one of the first solo dancers in the city, Holly has set aflame stages all over North America and Europe, has blazed the trail for burlesque in Edmonton, and has left audiences dry mouthed and sweating. Kicking up a storm on stage – like an untamable prairie tornado

Starting off their career with the Edmonton based troupe Lascivious Burlesque, Holly quickly formed The Hook ‘Em Review and went on to an international solo career. Performing in festivals such as Vancouver International Burlesque Festival, Toronto International Burlesque Festival, Ottawa Burlesque Festival, The Texas Burlesque Festival (Austin, TX), Southern Fried Burlesque Festival (Atlanta, GA), Alternatease (Cambridge, MA), Vienna Boylesque Festival, Calgary International Burlesque Festival, Girlesque Expo (Toronto, ON) and competing in Swiss Burlesque Festival(Basel, Switzerland). Headlining festivals like Burlesque and Beyond (Philadelphia, PA) and venues such as The Wiggle Room Montreal have rendered Holly a much deserved international following. With a back ground in clown and performing shows in the Edmonton International Fringe Festival, Playing the Fool: Edmonton Clown Festival and Toronto Clown Festival has made Holly a widely known performer not just within burlesque but also within Canada’s theatre community. They were a co-founder of The Edmonton Burlesque Festival and board member for six year, helping to put Edmonton on the burlesque map and building a strong and vibrant local community. Holly is the founder and co-producer of Sinners Burlesque one of Edmonton’s longest running burlesque reviews as well as being a regular cast member of All Tease All Shade A Queer Cabaret and House Of Hush.

Having taken training from many luminaries of both the burlesque and clown world, they have honed their skills over the years and are now helping to shape the next generation of performers through teaching, act development, coaching and mentoring. They have taught workshops across Canada and teach regular serialized classes at local studios.

As a purveyor of bad habits, a lover of clowns and a loather of restraint, Holly Von Sinn’s work takes the smouldering flames of passion and mixes in the best of the bizarre, making a truly tantalizing cocktail of a performance, leaving audiences both shaken and stirred.
